Lifecycle & CRM

Acquisition fills the top of the funnel. Lifecycle decides how much of it you keep. We look at where new users drop away and design messages and product nudges that bring them back at the right moment, with a control group to prove it worked.

Sounds familiar?

Signs it is time to call us

  • Half of new users never finish onboarding.
  • Push notifications are a weekly blast to everyone.
  • Trials convert worse than they did a year ago.
  • Cancelled subscribers never hear from you again.

What you get

  • 1A journey map from first open to first renewal
  • 2Onboarding and paywall recommendations with mockups
  • 3Message flows across push notifications, email and in-app, written and built
  • 4Trial and renewal reminder sequences
  • 5Win-back campaigns for lapsed and cancelled users
  • 6Holdout groups on every flow so impact is measured, not guessed
How we run it

Four steps, in this order

The first two steps usually fit into the growth audit. The last two repeat every month.

  1. 1

    Journey map

We trace real user paths through your analytics and mark the three or four moments where most people leave.

  2. 2

    Message design

For each moment we design the nudge: what it says, which channel, when it fires and who should never get it.

  3. 3

    Build and QA

Flows are built in your CRM tool, tested on real devices and launched with a holdout group.

  4. 4

    Measure and refine

Every flow is compared against its holdout after four weeks. The good ones stay, the rest get rewritten or switched off.

On the scoreboard

The numbers this craft is judged by, reviewed every month.

  • Onboarding completion rate
  • Trial start and trial-to-paid rate
  • Day 7 and day 30 retention
  • Renewal rate on first billing
  • Revenue from win-back flows

Where we have done this

Good questions, straight answers

Do you need our developers to make changes?

For messages and flows, usually not. For onboarding or paywall changes, we provide specs and designs, and either your team or a partner engineering studio builds them.

Won't more messages annoy users?

More messages is rarely the answer. We often reduce volume, because fewer, better-timed messages keep opt-in rates healthy. Frequency caps are part of every flow.

Which CRM tools do you support?

We work in Braze, OneSignal, Customer.io, Iterable and Firebase Messaging. If you have something else, we will tell you honestly whether we can work in it.
